The Secret Word That Can Heal Your Life

How many times have you agreed to do something that you actually didn’t want to do? Was it a family member, a friend, a lover or even someone at work? You really wanted to say no, but it just never came out.  So you end up doing something that you later on resent. The result – stress!

Resentment is something to be avoided at all costs. The reason being that resentment eventually turns into bitterness. Bitterness is a toxic emotion that eats away at you from the inside turning everything it touches into decay.

Effective Stress Management Techniques for Resentment

The other thing to know about resentment is that it is really unexpressed anger. Whenever you say ‘yes’ when you mean ‘no’ there’s two kinds of anger taking place; The first is you  blame the other person for forcing you to do something you really don’t want to and the second is you get angry with yourself for compromising your personal integrity.

The second form of anger is much harder to recognize because most people get stuck on blaming others for trying to control them. The fact is that no-one can ever control you unless you allow them to so this excuse can be dropped immediately.

Yes, it may be challenging at first to say ‘no’ to others who are used to getting their own way around you because that means they have to accept that you are an individual with the right to make your own choices.

The bottom line is that you have spent most of your life training others how to treat you. If you don’t like the way you’re being treated then it’s time to re-train them. By saying 'yes' when you mean 'no' you’ve trained people to believe that you are a push-over and you are there to serve their needs.

Is Natural Stress Relief really a better option?

The society we live in today is all about the quick fix, and there are always many different quick fixes available for many different illnesses, especially Stress Relief.  Which is better; Natural Stress Relief or the Medical Treatment?  I would never say one is better than the other (even though I have a strong opinion on the subject) as that would suggest this post is favouring one side, and that’s not the point of it. 

You see, one of the best ways you can gain an understanding of the best Stress Relief Techniques is by discovery through knowledge.  Using this method you’ll normally learn the best method for you. 

Also, keep an open mind when seeking Stress Relaxation Techniques.  There may a technique or method you may be unfamiliar with and you may shut your mind off to it.  By keeping and open mind you will be presented with a greater number of choices and you will understand why one method is more effective than the other.  As a supporter of Stress Relief, Relaxation Techniques and Stress Management I believe finding the right method will be the difference to experiencing true Relaxation or loosing hope after trying something that wasn’t right for you in the first place.  This will give you a solid foundation to understanding the best Stress Management Techniques and will help you to answer if Natural Stress Relief is really a better option for you.

Too much Stress and You’ll Drop Dead

An article published by The Gold Coast Bulletin showed some really disturbing facts about Japanese workers.  These statistics showed that 355 workers in the year to the end of March became so sick from over working that they dropped dead.  When I read this I thought these guys seriously need to learn some good solid Relaxation Techniques or they’re going to keep dropping like flies. To add more salt to the wound the number of workers in their 30s dropping dead on the job has shot up by 30 percent.

If this isn’t a real indication that stress at work is on the increase.  So why are we all experiencing work stress nowadays where very few instances of stress were recorded before?  Well, think of all the factors that contribute to work stress; longer hours working, competition to keep a good job, longer drives on more congested roads, and the pressure this places on home life,  and this is compounding.  Imagine all the people you work with all experiencing the same thing as you day in, day out.  This all adds up to a more stressful workplace.

So what can one do to experience some form of Stress Relief?  One of the highest recommended Stress Relief Techniques is to avoid over working.  How many hours do you work in a week?  Are you paid for those hours and are you neglecting anyone around you by working this many hours.  So, take a break if you’re working too many hours.  Secondly find a structured Stress Management program that contains heaps of really useful Stress Management Tips and activities.  This will ensure what ever damage was done before will be fixed and will help you and others to work in a happier workplace.  If you to take one thing away from this it should be … we work to live, we don’t live to work.  Remember that when you’re feeling so stressed at work that you start to feel the symptoms of an anxiety attack kicking in, and do something about it before you work so hard that you drop dead too!

Positive Thoughts = Stress Management

Finding the right Stress Management Technique it’s all in the mindset.  What do I mean when I say mindset?  Let me explain.  If you take on a new task you’ve never done before and you don’t really think it will work, how do you approach it?  Do you run in arms open expecting great things, or do you hold back a bit expecting it to fail.  The way you look at or approach a task is in your mindset.  If you expect something to fail usually you will be rewarded with … failure.  But of course you knew it would fail, Right? 

This is the same with Stress Management.  If your try Stress Management Activities and you think they suck even before you do them, then you’ll more than likely confirm they suck without really giving them a go. 

Keep an open mind.  You never know what Stress Management Tips could work.  It could be the difference to an excellent result where you feel complete Stress Relief, or feeling even more stressed and out of control.

Don’t be a Jelly Head over Stress Management

The first question so many people have when they read this title is … What’s a Jelly Head, and how can it possibly be related to Stress Management? Well the Jelly Head is lingo that has been around for as long as I have been alive and it usually is the result of years of built up pressure and stress. At some point if a person takes on too much pressure without ever using any Stress Management Activities they will eventually go … SNAP!

I’m, not talking death or serious physical injury, it’s that point when they just can’t handle stressful situations anymore. It takes a different period of time for different people to experience Jelly Head, but eventually when it does happen they find it hard to handle situations that would normally be a breeze.

The down side is this type of person is normally swept under the rug and tried to be forgotten about. So what can you do to stop yourself or someone you know from becoming a Jelly Head? The first step would be to explore different types of Stress Management Techniques.

You can do this by reading Stress Management Articles or by finding a Stress Management Program. There are many Stress Management Programs available ranging from face-to-face, by DVDs, audios, or following a step by step self paced program. Even it means leaving early once a week and going for a long walk in the forest.

What ever method you choose the most important thing if you are feeling stresses is to do something about it before it’s too late and you become a Jelly Head.
