Let’s face it one of the biggest challenges facing busy people today is how to fit everything you need to do into a day. From the demands of raising a family, meeting deadlines at work, giving quality time to a relationship, exercising, looking after your health and taking time-out each day for yourself it can be a struggle to find enough time to even get a good nights sleep.

We all have the same 24 hours a day at our disposal. The difference is how wisely you use it. Why waste a precious second on something that has no value or meaning in your life? The more you choose to use the time you do have that’s brings you joy and fulfilment, the more satisfying your life will be.

 

Live Each Moment Fully

 

What do you think is going to matter most when you’re laying on your deathbed looking back over your life? Will it be how many sales you made at work? Or how clean you kept your house? Or how many things you didn’t get done? Probably not! Make each moment count as you never know when your last moment will be.

 

Don’t Forget to Take Time-Out Each Day

 

No matter how busy or hectic your life gets it’s vital that you give yourself 5, 10 or 20 minutes a day just being with yourself. This time allows you to reflect on your day and do whatever it is that brings you joy or helps you to relax. Stop Telling Yourself You Don’t Have Enough Time

 

The more you affirm what you don’t have, the more you will attract it into your life. One of life’s laws is that what you focus on you get. Stop Wearing a Watch

 

Put away your watch for the next seven days in either a cupboard or dresser.  I did this for a period of three months and by the end of this time my internal clock had me waking up in the morning, getting to appointments and being where I needed to be in perfect timing. At first, this may stress you out a little but after 7 days you’ll experience a deep sense of freedom at not having to be a clock watcher all the time.

A wise man once said that money may come and go. If you lose your money, you can always make it back, but when you lose a minute, it’s gone forever. To live a life without regret is to know that you have followed the path of your heart and spirit without hesitation.

Baby Steps to Anxiety and Stress Relief

If you’ve ever experienced an Anxiety Attack or Stress Attack you’ll understand how down and out they can make you feel.  Although Anxiety Attack symptoms vary from person to person the end result is still the same.  It’s important to find some method of relaxation techniques for anxiety  to overcome any long term effect your anxiety attacks may cause. 

But at times it can all seem too much. I mean you want to fix the issue, yet the goal posts can seem so far away from where you are right now.  This is where the baby steps principle comes in handy.  When you step back and you look at where you would like to be then you can break it down into smaller, easier to achieve tasks.  Rather than focussing on the huge task of making it to the end, you only need to focus on the next step, which makes it less daunting. 

For example – If you had a fear of flying and you wanted to feel calm instead of experiencing an anxiety attack every time you even visited an airport you could begin by practicing relaxation breathing techniques and visualization techniques for relaxation for 10 mins everyday.  During this time you would meditate on the thought of flying and use other stress management techniques to address the issue of flying.  Then after 1 week, visit an airport and watch the planes.  Note: you are not going there to fly; you are simply watching the majestic planes flying overhead.  Once you master the first small step then move onto the next step and so on.

Remember: To overcome the fear, break the fear down into smaller pieces, handle each smaller piece and complete the overall task by putting all the pieces back together again.

How does it work? Well, Begin by breathing in through your nose for the count of 5 (don’t count out load) hold it for 5, and breath out for 5.  As you feel that relaxation kicking in increase it to 7 or even 10.  If you’ve ever wondered how to avoid stress at work then here’s an example of good stress management tips to use. 

By doing this for only one or two minutes at a time (yes that’s less than 1% of your day) will give your mind and body a massive time out to allow you to recover, refocus and get back into the task at hand.

There are many people around the world daily that are looking for effective Stress Relief Techniques and when you consider the damage it can have on your smile you can understand why.

Where are those Relaxation Techniques for that painful drive home?

There aren’t many things that test my patience nowadays, but I have to admit sitting in traffic drives me bonkers! All the relaxation techniques I have learned in my lifetime seem to go out the window when I am stuck in traffic. Which tells me learning how to remain calm in a car would have to be one of the best stress relaxation techniques available.

Of course we all handle things differently, and certain things push our buttons that would never affect the next person. But driving seems to push more people’s buttons that many other areas of Stress. I mean some people are scared of driving and therefore would benefit from some sort of relaxation techniques for anxiety to calm their nerves. One suggestion I’ve heard is relaxation breathing techniques. You can use this breathing exercise when driving to calm themselves yourself from the lunatics around you. This may help you feel truly calm.

Another suggestion is to use visualization techniques for relaxation. You have to be really careful when using this technique as you are driving, you know what I mean. It can even be as simple as occupying your mind.

If you are travelling with someone else try a few car games. Simple games like creating words from each letter of a number plate, playing eye spy, or thinking of the number of countries and cities you can think of that start with each letter of the alphabet.

Whatever method you use I have always found any form of relaxation technique good. I mean, it’s better than sitting there building up your anger and bursting.

A Relaxation Technique that will make your head pop off your shoulders!

When you learn it you’re going to think, this is too simple to have any real impact, but I’m telling you, this is cheaper than any Relaxation CD you’ll ever find, and is commonly used in relaxation techniques for anxiety. What is it? I like to call it – not taking life so seriously. Yes, I am telling the truth. You see, so many benefit from Relaxation Breathing Techniques and so many other techniques, but have you ever noticed the people that look really relaxed are the happy go lucky people that smile and don’t take life so seriously? When you think of Relaxation Techniques for Kids, you’ll find the reason they are normally stressed in the first place is as a result of something in life that has made them think like a grown up. Not taking life too seriously is one of the greatest Relaxation Techniques to living longer, having more friends and being happier, Dammit!
